Kuumba Made is a Tucson-rooted botanical body-care company founded in 1980 by herbalist and entrepreneur Kuumba Piazza. Inspired by global plant traditions and the Sonoran Desert, the brand creates fragrance oils, herbal salves, aromatherapy products, lotions and other personal-care formulas. Its approach combines botanical knowledge, mindful production, cruelty-free practices and increasingly sustainable packaging. Still founder-owned and WBENC certified, Kuumba Made frames business as caretaking: nurturing customers, supporting community partners and honoring the natural ecosystems that supply its ingredients.

Pima Federal Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative serving Arizona communities. Founded in 1951 when sixteen Tucson teachers pooled $84 in deposits, it has grown while retaining a relationship-centered mission. AcaciaIT is an Arizona managed technology partner supporting organizations in Tucson, Scottsdale and surrounding communities. Founded in 1992 by Greg Durnan as a computer-repair business, the company evolved into a multi-service IT firm. Its work spans managed services, cybersecurity, compliance, cloud systems, communications, business continuity, strategic planning and AI-enabled workflows. Clients are assigned a support team familiar with their environment, reducing the friction of explaining systems and requirements.

The University of Arizona Department of Africana Studies explores histories, cultures, ideas and experiences of people of African descent. Its interdisciplinary teaching and research encompass literature, history, anthropology, cinema, theater, music, dance, politics and digital humanities across Africa and the global diaspora. Through majors, minors, certificates, internships and study-abroad opportunities, students develop cultural awareness, communication, leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Heartworks Gallery is an art destination in Pearce, Arizona, presenting work connected to Southern Arizona’s creative community.
